Both Chris Elliot and Keanu Irausquin bring back the win for Curacao and IMMARTIAL Athlete Centre!
The two IMMARTIAL athletes were the star of the night at Madness Fighting. Chris Elliot’s fight was the most entertaining fight according to the crowd.
Keanu Irausquin was the third fight of the night, and surely set the tone, that our local athletes did not come to play. Irausquin was matched up with Tristen Romero who is very talented in the field of MMA, which was in his favor during the first round. Talent Keanu is fairly new in the sport of MMA , but with lots of training, discipline, and mental strength he was able to control and wear out his opponent. Keanu won in the third round by submission through using a “Rear naked Choke” Learned during our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class.
Chris Elliot was the seventh fight of the night, facing opponent Randon Koolman. It was an exciting match with both athletes giving it all they had. Elliot won the first round relatively easy; everything came down to the second round. Elliot was using many combinations which he had practiced with fellow coaches at IMMARTIAL Athlete Centre. The heat was too hard to handle for his opponent which led the referee to call the fight and give Chris Elliot the ultimate Win.
After Chris Elliot’s Win, UFC Hall of Famer, Rashad “Suga” Evans took the time to have a chat with our athlete to credit him on his fight. He stated that Elliot “had really good vision”, he went on to say that he had “some real good, clean, and active strikes” and that Elliot reminded him of UFC fighter Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya.
